Film school ACME
I'll be attending a film school soon, but won't mention the name, I'll just use a generic name, but will be chronologizing the adventure here.

Yes, I've decided to do something totally different with my life, at least short term. I've decided to attend an accelerated film course, hands on training school/course/academy.
It cost me money though, but I've paid in full, so the rest is up to me. But here's the thing, for years I've dreamed of film school, but mainly when drunk and in a creative mood...but when sober, straight thinking, is that something I really want to do??
That's what scares me, cause I don't, won't, know if I truly have a passion for it until sober for a few weeks and 'doing it'.
If could go back, maybe I wouldn't, and just stuck to other plan, which was security and safety, land, a RV, ect...but then what? I'd still have to work.
I don't know, I don't have all the answers, and I don't know the future. Maybe this is just yet another bad turn I've made in my life. We shall see.

I'm officially enrolled in an accelerated film school as of now. Had a zoom meeting yesterday with academic advisor or ect. First time I'd ever used zoom, probably won't be the last time.
Things are occurring fast for me, my life has changed drastically over the last few months. I will have to change a lot of sloppy habits, if I want to succeed.
Not only that, but now others are depending on me to succeed. This school doesn't just let anyone in, I had to go through many levels of being vetted, and so now other people's reputations are on the line, as well as my own = pressure. That means I have to measure up...will I, can I?
Time will tell.

But am learning, whether in film or business, it's who you know, not what you think you know. And that's why I'm going down this path, cause realizing it's others who open up doors from you, not just your raw talent alone, and that's just the fact Jack.

Silent film
A very fun video to watch if into film, or a film student...but won't get any clicks or views on here. I think I'm going to sign into my social media accounts again, cause yes, I like it here when want to be left alone, but no one interacts on here...or even like hits videos I upload...which tells me majority of views are probably from bots, or other scanning programs, and not real life souls.
And if real life souls, than shame on you for not now, or ever supporting me or others who pour their heart and souls out for you...and you can't even watch videos people upload here...whatever.

Ye, I think I'm going to sign into facebook, something I haven't done in at least 4-5 months...but at least there I do get interaction....maybe it's time I grow my social media profile, the good, the bad and the ugly of me.
And just F those ahead of time who don't like me, and never will. Lot's of famous people have a ton of people who don't like them, so what.

Today, while at the studio, I met DP, or director of photography by the name of Cooper...they've been on sets with Eddie Murphy, they shot a series with KISS, and worked on the series 'Stranger Things'...anyone worth their salt in the industry knows who they are.
But if you saw them, they'd look just like any other blue collar guy off the street, and that's because film work is hard, it's basically like construction work, all the rigging, lighting, and so forth.
I complimented them and got their autograph...not many people get the autograph of DP's...lol.

EIS vs OIS
These older videos are pretty solid. I learned more from this video than I have from my school, about EIS vs OIS settings...lol

About to order Adobe cloud for creative projectsBut to be honest with you, this adobe stuff, program, just seems to complex to me, learning it seems like a whole university course within itself. I use like easier to use programs like Ribbet or Movavi (for movie edits)...the templates are just easier. Adobe is like designed for engineers, or so it seems. My brain has just gotten lazy, as such I don't like complicated stuff or directions. Anyways buying and downloading adobe came up next on my 'to do list', and that's why I'm writing about it here, just to release some tension I have about my confidence to actually learn it. I don't want it to be yet just another software I order, subscribe to, and never use do to the complexity of it. We shall see.

The hardest part about being a student for me, a older one, is learning how to turn off other media, yappaty yap yap yap other media, talk radio, internet media, gossip media, and just focus on what I need to do so that one day I to can be in the media that other people watch and seek out.

OK, here's the deal... I just signed up for adobe creative cloud for like 1 full year, at around $239.00. The school I attend, if you want to call it that...I mean it's pretty much a self paced, self taught course, unless you get a really good hands on mentor who likes you. That aside, they dropped the payment into my account, but actually, I'm sure they just took it out of my initial tuition cost...so as usual it's me who really paying for it...and it should just be apart of tuition anyways. 1. I've never ever used adobe, any of their stuff, I just always found it way to complex, especially when there were so many easier to use spin off alternatives, over the years. I mean like this piece here, I've been creating art for over a decade just using my own skill set and getting creative with different tools. So do really need adobe? Probably yes, for one main reason, and that is if I do get into film stuff or photo stuff, adobe, and a few other such professional editing software, well, they're the standard that people even in Hollywood use...and so if I can't even use adobe, it just drops my value all that much more to people. Oh, I'll figure it out, and when I do I'll be great at it, but there will be a big learning curb at first. I really want to be a screenplay writer though, that's what I'm best at doing, is writing...I mean where do you think all the material comes from on this blog forum? Not AI, this blog form was created years and years before AI was born. It's all original content....all of it....and one day maybe I'll open this blog forum up to more powerful people...but not now. Anyways, yes, getting adobe was a big deal to me, a bit overwhelmed, not to mention just received a DSLR Canon camera I just ordered and paid over a gran for...and a gimbel I've still got to charge up and figure out, not to mention lesson plans, script and more...my brain is really having to work now and is why I can no longer afford to drink. Drinking will kill all of it, I cannot drink, and still have the mental energy and enthusiasm to do what I have to do over the next few months. If I can just not drink, at all anymore, at least while in this course, than I should do and be fine...but you never know, cause regardless of my own actions we all know life can just be brutally cruel at times. Anyways, I'm wasting time and writing energy here, so let me move on. Also, I downloaded the adobe on a different PC, one that's clean..no files, no personal stuff, nothing, nada, unlike the one I'm typing with now.

Anyways, about to switch out of this computer for a while, and go to my other newer one that, as of now, I'm just using for official stuff, like programs, software, there's nothing personal uploaded to other computer yet, and I want to keep it that way.
Should of thought of this long ago, where you have one junk computer, and another one that's free of your personal pictures, art, and other stuff.
