Is it time to get a roommate? Do I really want a roommate?

The biggest joy to me being alive at the moment is the space I enjoy when not at work, and that means my place and having no one around in it to bug or annoy me. If I get a roommate, suddenly that space is no longer mine.
How would I handle that?
Sure, theoretically they're paying for their part of the space, but payment only comes once a month, there's still 30 or so days have to live with another person and get along with them, am I capable of that now at my age, or would I get annoyed with them in just a few days?

A solid roommate who pays their share of the rent on time could save me around $6,000.00 a year, or say 500 a month, surely that's worth it right?

And let's face it, once you get a roommate, you'll become curious about them and them about you.
That's just part of being a social animal, we're curious about each other. it's what we find out later that either makes us like one another or repelled by one another.
I, for one, want a sexy roommate, but would trade sex appeal for reliability, meaning paying their rent on time.

I'm clearing out back room now, but I just don't want this to be yet another thing I get a notion to do, spend money fixing up room and then change my mind. If I do this, I need to follow through with it, cause if do it right could save decent money and maybe, possibly, gain new friend into life. But if do it wrong, could be the most terrible experience in recent years.
People can make your life a living heaven or hell, just depends.
