One reason crime problems never fall in certain cities
One reason why crime never seems to fall in certain cities, yet said cities rich in funding is this
1. These cities form committies, have council meetings, create this grant, that grant, have this and that discussion, but what they never seem to ever do is actually include those committing the crimes into their groups or discussions.
So instead what you get is a bunch of hired, or public bureaucrat's who live miles from crime areas, or aren't effected by any of it, sitting down and trying to solve problems of which the people committing them they know nothing about.
And they, the bureaucrat's get paid to discuss crime, and that's it, how futile is that?
I mean why not actually invite those in the streets, ex cons, those living in effected crime areas, why not simply invite them to the meetings, and give them a seat at the table?
Why not even invite some local drug dealers, gang leaders, and see what they have to say?
I mean why not?
Our Government does that in other hot spots around the world, in that to broker peace, our Government will sit down with ISIS leaders, or Cartel leaders, or Taliban leaders ect, to get a better idea of what's causing the violence and how to solve it.
You might not ever stop all crime, but at least can maybe curve the violence that surrounds the crime.
Just seems so simply to me, give people effected by the crime, even some of those responsible for the crime, a seat at the table and hear what's really going on from the source, rather than a bunch of text book experts.
Text book experts just don't seem to be able to solve much these days, but are paid regardless for their opinions and advice, so that all the money ends up flowing to them, instead of fixing the issues, and you won't know what issues to fix unless start inviting those involved in the crimes can have a seat at the table.
Make them feel apart of something larger than their neighborhood...duh.
But then again, what do I know.

This was America under Obama/Biden, and will become America again under Biden/Harris
It was Trump who cleaned this stuff up by cracking down on China's ability to flood nation with synthetic drugs, and by helping to rebuild these gutted out rural towns by bringing industry back, and by building the way so that 'pushers' couldn't flood into nation and ravage small town America.
With Biden/Harris in office, all this, sadly, will return...already is with their small business crack downs and all.

The Mendez brothers
I'm watching this now on Court TV, the true live case of how the Mendez brothers killed their own parents for money.
And oddly enough, all this was going on at the same time the O.J. trial was occurring, and I guess the Mendez Brothers and O.J. even spoke while in jail at the same time, the celebrity jail.
I learned in Los Angeles they have a jail for regular criminals and another one for celebrity criminals, but I guess that does make sense.
That aside, when hearing their story, what amazes me is they almost got away with killing their parents if not for
1. One of the brothers confessing to his Phycologist (Why?)
2. Other brother then doing the same thing, again why?
3. Phycologist asking if he could record their confession on tape, and brothers agreed, again why?
Now I'm not saying I wish the brothers hadn't gotten caught, but what I am saying is how could people be that stupid??
If you killed someone, and got away with it, as they did, why in heavens would you then confess to it to your Phycologist?
What were they thinking?
I mean I know they were young at the time, as in early 20's or late teens?, but still.
They might still be free to this day, had they not allowed their phycologist to tape record their confessions.
Amazing.
