Moving Once again it's that time of the year when faced with aspect of moving or to not move. When lot's younger, moving was a sinch, painless and way fun. When older, moving is nothing more than a big pain in the rear. When older, you want things to be familiar and settled, no extra stress, and that's all moving is when older is pure stress! Whether buying or renting, moving is stressful when older. 1. All your documents that must be transferred, as in license, auto registration address, bills, credit cards, other documents you probably can't even remember, benefits (if have any) and so forth, places that have had your address for years, now you have to give them new address, some you may not even want to... 2. Expense, moving costs money now days a. Lost time at work b. Move in deposit, or back charge if didn't clean current place out fully c. Moving van rental, associated fees and deposits d. Getting power turned on at new place, that can be a total pain especially if moving out of state or to a new city. And more stuff I can't think of right now 3. New neighbors...moving to new place is like when in school, and the anxioty you felt on the first day, will your new neighbors like you, will you like them? (and if a racial minority even worse) And that's just for starters. Will new place have insect infestation?, rodents?, is new neighborhood safe after dark?? Most places, even the worst ghettos, like relatively safe during the day, but when night arrives, it can be a whole different story. You never know how your new place is until lived there at least a week, was there dog next door that barks forever, that didn't notice when scoping place out? Is there a train horn nearby that blows horn 20 times a day? (Lucky by-stander) Also what about your commute to work, are you adding more miles?, if so that means more wear and tear on vehicle, gas, and just stress do to longer commute. And if single, you'll have to hire moving service (forgot to add that to expenses) All these things and more I have to consider before making up my mind, it's exhausting just thinking about it. more to follow.

Low rent vs safety
We all see those adds in the city where rent is like $650.00 or so (at least where I stay), and that's usually odd when most rent is 1000 or more.
Then you investigate and find out it's true, rent really is low, but house happens to be right smack dab in the middle of the hood!
I mean who doesn't want to pay 1990's rent price?, but at the same time, if it's right in the hood area, how safe are you?, especially if single.
What happens when gone, at work, and people know your habits?
If I moved to such a place I could save 50% on rent, that would thrill me, but if there and to afraid to ever step outside, than what's the point?, or no one ever wants to visit cause of location.
But these are choices more and more people having to make, people are having to set pride aside and move to hood areas where rent is affordable, but if enough people do that, did that, maybe slowly it wouldn't be a hood anymore if enough working class types moved back in.

Oh how I could use my younger, way more optimistic self right now when it comes to whether to move or not, my younger self would not care, my younger self would be thrilled to relocate just to do so.
My younger self would automatically expect things to be brighter and better at new location, my younger self would not be aware of how others 'judge' you.
My younger self would just be happy to be free and independent, even if had to eat crackers and cheese for dinner.
Oh where is thy younger self and spirit right now?

One thing for sure, it doesn't take yourself long to talk self out of moving when searching, and seeing how high rent is other places, and deposits and all which can be as high as $2,500.
Then you move, and realize place is no better, or even worse than where you moved from...then what?

Really I thought, was hoping, my next move would be after winning the lottery, and then just buying house on a ranch, in the middle of Montana or Nebraska, or some place far from anyone.
A small animal farm even, I just want seclusion now, I really don't need to be around anyone, just nature, and that's it.

Moving
"I'm a person of color, but here's the deal, I so hate living around urban 'B' types, that when I do move, the last thing I want to do is move just to be around more urban 'B' types, what would be the point of that?
Ghetto is ghetto, hood is hood, whether in Florida or California or Michigan, or New York, ect.
If, when, I move (at least if it goes my way), I never want to live around 'B' people ever, ever, again, ever.
They are the most annoying types to live around, liter, crime, single parent households, loud freagin boom boom car stereos that even here some negro I'd like to ____ in the ____ always driving around annoying people, I just can't take it.
The first half of my life I lived around either whites or mix, but never mainly 'B' folks, and now that have, I absolutely hate it with a passion.
B folks are some of the smallest minded, culturally smallest minded, cold hearted people I've ever encountered in my life.
And again, I'm a person of color, some would even consider me 'black', but I don't.
Black neighbors are cold as ice, don't talk to you, never wish you happy holidays, nothing, nothing, just blair same ole ugly demonic rap music.
And the mothers just keep bearing sons who grow up to hurt or maim or ___ others, seems like the sons of 'B' females are just weapons.
I don't want to live around this sh-t anymore if I move.
I'd rather live around the Klan, than urbanized B folks who totally lack any kind of social sense.
The women don't even know what marriage is anymore, just tired of it, I gave it, them, a chance when first came down here, but they blew it and totally lived up to all the ugly stereotypes you hear about them.
At least the ones I stay around, just tired of it.
And when I leave here, I don't want know black neighbors around me, but in the SE they're scattered everywhere.
Would have to live way out in the country, or on a farm, or some non black State like Wyoming or Iowa or Nebraska or Montana, ect, to escape living around trouble causing, theiving, no value black folks, at least today's modern kind.
If very 'B' person just got beemed off the planet right now to heaven, I certainly would not care the least bit, my life would start getting better immediately.'

I use to walk into stores in the hood areas a few years ago, and you'd always see 'B' mothers yelling, cursing, at their crying babies, or toddlers, as if trying to impress people, I found it gross.
These bitter, grouchy, urban females taking their rage out on their infant sons, I just found it gross as hell to observe that immature behavior.

After seeing up close how terrible 'B' Mothers are at raising their sons, I'd never want to marry one now or have one be the mother of any kid I had, heck no, after how most of the younger B males in this area look thrown away by the time they're 13 years of age, they already looks street, talk street, act street, that's just sloppy parenting. I can't have no ghetto B woman being the mother of any kid I have.

All these shootings, smash and grabs, car jackings, muggings, home invasions, and more, all these criminal monsters come from 'B' mothers!!
You think I want a 'B' woman to be the mother of any kid I'd ever have?, heck no.

I'd rather marry an out and right Continent of African woman, than an urbanized, bred to be mentally stupid, American 'B' female from any hood area, or with that mentality, no thanks.

When, if, I move, I hope I don't have to live 1000 miles from any urbanized, single mother raised, type of B adult male or female, to be honest with you, I'd rather live around Eskimos from Alaska than urban raised American B folks with no manners, drive crazy when young (I guess everyone drives crazy when young though), blare that god awful base sounding music around in apartment complexes, and to demonic to ever think it might disturb people, so self centered to care about other peoples feelings.
I just don't want to live around people like that anymore.

I wonder if I should just up and move this year? I wonder? I mean if not now, then when? Cause if you wait to get to old, no one will want to hire you, and you'll just be to tired to move anyways. And if I did move, it would have to be a move that mattered, like a out of state move, but that's expensive....very much so. It's not like the olden days when could move to a strange city or town without a job, still get an apartment, and be employed within days or weeks. Now days if you move somewhere, they want you to have your whole life planned out first, unless, I suppose, willing to live in some rented room for a while. Actually, with the advent of the internet, moving is not as fun anymore, cause now you can just google anywhere or place you want to see, but in the olden days you had to get up, travel, to go see places. Ye, so the internet kind of takes the fun out of moving. I don't know, I miss the days when younger, in love, and could validate moving to be closer to 'that love'...but now, It's just me, as such I really have no reason to move anywhere...unless won the lottery or came into some big money....cause to just move from one apartment to another, what does that accomplish?

Moving can be such a unsettling thing as you age
Moving is fine, when moving up, and or into a place you desire. Moving is scary when you're forced out of a place you've called home for years, but then do to increased rent, and other expenses, you're now forced to move do to economics.
Where I stay now, I've outlasted all of my neighbors, I see people come and I see them leave or move. I'm like right at that threshold myself, I mean maybe one more year I'm good for, but if rent keeps going up, not sure what I'm going to do. These new leasing businesses are cold as hell or ice, they could care the less about you or people on a personal level. The Realter groups that own these apartments could give a squat about your own personal story, struggles, triumphs, all they want is your rent.
For me to exist the way I do, I need total peace and quiet, and this place has given it to me. When alone, you need peace and quiet, or at least I do, cause then my imagination makes me feel not so alone.
Noise totally disrupts 'my world', and the idea of moving into another place, without the view, loud neighbors, barking dogs, roaches, ect and whatever, really seems like a nightmare scenario to me. But I know I can't stay here forever, nothing is forever on this earth, and eventually I'm going to have to move.
