Never stop working out, regardless of age, weight, class or gender, just never stop, or else bad things begin occurring within one's own body. Even long physical labor hour type of jobs cannot and do not replace a good 30 minute workout, long hours at a job may tire you out, thus cause you're 'tired', you'll think you must of worked out, but not so, much of the tiredness of working any job comes from the mental stress, and not the actually burning of calories. Being fit will make your job easier, whether blue collar or white collar, but not being fit, will make your job harder, feel harder. When healthy, you don't feel your joints, when muscles, ligaments, and more functioning properly, it's as if body is on 'air ride', you feel zero friction or pain anywhere. But when not healthy, not in shape, you'll feel every single step, every stair climb, every bend and more as muscles begin to deteriorate thus bones and joints and nerves begin rubbing together, or 'friction', like car engine operating without oil. And if have other bad habits such as drinking, or eating fatty foods, fast foods, smoking or other, than for sure need to work out to counter the effects of a bad lifestyle, or at least slow the effects down, cause when sick, you're the only one it effects. Fitness cannot keep you alive forever, nor does being fit garuntee won't get disease, or get in auto crash, but fitness does make the time you are alive, more pleasant to self as you go about daily life and routines.

Never stop working out or else'
Yes, life is cruel like that, the older you get, the more boring workouts get, is when you need to workout even more, that sucks.
Would rather drink beer than workout, able to do both actually.
Heck, not training to be no Olympian, and no one other than myself, even notices my health.
Workouts just aren't fun for me lately, not at home, I do workout a bit when at jobs and between 'runs'...but then I'm outside and it feels different, not so stuffy and pointless.
At home feels stuffy and pointless, when I work out.
I'm like Rocky with his second bout with Apollo Creed, where he couldn't even catch the chicken, my hearts just not in it right now.
Which means my mind isn't right, for as goes the mind follows the body.

Another ironically frustrating thing
The worse shape your in, the less fun it is to drink.
What I mean is getting 'drunk' seems more fun, hit's your body differently when in shape vs being out of shape.
Maybe cause when in shape, your veins and blood vessels are more wide open so you feel the intoxication more, while drinking less, where as if unhealthy, over weight, arteries and all small, or conjested, than harder for alcohol to circulate, so have to drink more to get same effect as someone who is in shape.
Plus when physically fit, your mind is just happier, so it's like happy drinking vs drinking while depressed.
So if I want to continue to drink, and enjoy it, I need to stay in shape.
Very weird logic....advice no Doctor would ever give.

Nothing online answers your questions about exercise, examples to follow
I want know 'how' does exercise at the molecular level, keeps people healthy and or prevents disease.
So I type in 'How does exercise keep you healthy?'
Answers online are
Exercise can help you lose weight'
No kidding, but that's not what I asked, I want to know 'how' does exercise at the molecular level help you loose weight?
But then instead all you get is another dense generic answer like 'Exercise can boost your mood'...
OK, fine, but how does it do that, on a chemical level why and how does exercise create positive physical change to the body?
But instead, just get another generic 3rd grade level answer from some generic medical website.
How annoying.

Some believe that fitness must come before everything else in life, for without fitness there is no life, I guess, and according to the video.

A walk in the park part 2
Mental fitness is also very important.
Keep the mind fit, or else.

The best thing I could do for myself right now is to get up, dress, groom, and go walking/jogging at the rec park. Sure, it's damp and grey and wet out, but that's the best thing I could do for my both physical and mental health right now.
Or could stay in and hit the boring treadmill, and do some light lifting, stretching, ect, super boring, but that's a better alternative to doing nothing.
If I go to rec park, that means have to get up and out, and drive about 3 miles are so through traffic lights, cars, and deal with people, and people are hazardous to your health, people are hazardous to your sanity as well, the wrong kinds anyways, but now days you never know who you're going to encounter once you leave your place. And I'm not looking for no date, and no ones looking to date me, so most people are just like objects in the way now, to pretty much be avoided. And those I do think I like, physically that is, probably look at me the way I described I look at others, as just an object in the way to be avoided.
Treadmill or park?...hmm.
And, starting older car and driving it, well, that just creates opportunity for other things to go wrong, as in a wreck, engine issues, get to park and battery dies, ect...one event can snowball effect out of control. The older you get, the more you begin calculating the risks of doing things, and ask yourself 'is it worth it'.
You start thinking worse case scenarios, and if can handle it or not. It's all about mental strength, and or love, or lack of in your life....which will determine how much fight you have in you.

Choices
I just got down working out, yep, workout or else.
Work out or else lose your health, and if lose your health you lose everything in this world since the world is basically 'you'.
So I worked out, cause I had to...and cause it's good for ya.

A bike ride I tell you what, all it took was one bike ride for me to realize how far out of shape I've fallen. Now to the casual eyes, looking at pic, I may seem in shape; and sure, I'm in get up and go to work every day type of shape, but that's far from the type of shape I need to be in in order to be healthy. I got like 4 blocks up the road and already felt a bit winded and dispirited (but I kept on of course), but not before pausing and having a reflective moment. I think as we age, we tend to fool ourselves and think as long as we can get out of bed, go to work, do a few chores, than we're OK...oh, and have a few beers per week or night. But it catches up with you eventually. The older you get, I realize now (well, have for a while) that you really have to be proactive about your health and fitness, cause it will diminish if you're not. That includes diet, exercise, and even mental health exercise. I'm the 'look OK in mirror so must be fit' type, well I'm not, fitness is just as much about what's going on inside your body as it is with your extremities. --------------------------------------- So what do I need to do to better my health? 1. Stop drinking beer.I mean I can go days, even a week without, but when I do drink, I tend to drink hard. 2. Regular exercise, cardio and weights, and squats, light, but none the less leg and knee strengthening is vital for good health and posture. One of the first signs of getting old is how people walk, do to pain or lack of flexibility, ect. If you want to stay walking and moving like you're young than stretch, stretch and stretch some more. 3. Diet.Lately I've slipped back into the bad habit of eating chips, snacks, sodas, but only when at work, but it still adds up in body and will take a toll. -------------------------------- I mean I'm really not that far from being in great shape for my age, if only I could get out of my own way. To be continued.

To exercise or not to exercise, that is the questionUsually exercising then gives me the excuse to drink afterwards. I'm one of the most fittest drinkers ever...smirk out loud. Actually, I don't feel like exercising at all, not one tiny bit, in that coming off of a long 3 day shift at work, and have other things on my mind, and I did get in little moments of exercise while on the clock. I think I will, why not, what else am I gonna do. (I'm probably only saying that cause I know once I go out, that on the way back I'll buy some beer) But the thing is, is if I drink to much on Sunday, than I'm no good on Monday, and thus fail to get a lot of important matters done. Right now, my future, the future I wanted anyways, seems imperil, so what does it matter? I have no one to physically hold, and no one holds me, I'm alone in this world, thus beer is what holds me at times, why not. When sober, I just dwell on stuff I can't solve (or maybe I could if never drank) See how I battle myself, my own thoughts against and challenging my own thoughts, but isn't that what we all do? Anyways, it's Sunday, I suppose I should get dressed, groom, and then well, we'll see.

I tell you what, I'm starting to feel my age, in as far as working out goes, it comes in the knees first, then just the kind of slowness of your movements, as in trying to shadow box, or just jump around. I remember I used to be so agile, so quick (drinking beer over the years probably doesn't help) I think I'm in great bad shape...in other words, I'm in OK shape for someone who's blue collar and goes to work, but I'm in terrible shape if comparing to a athlete who trains daily for competition. I'm fortunate to even still be alive, actually...if didn't cut back on my drinking about 3 years ago, I doubt I would be, I simply would have gone the way of most males my age. I'd be a after thought by now... yet I still get carded at stores; now I know goodness well I don't like no gdm under 21, I think people just card some of us out of disrespect. Anyways, workout 'or else', as the title of this section says... But if had to decide which is more important to your health, working out or eating right?...hmm...I'd have to say eating right will probably give you more longevity in the end.

Quality Inn gym, in Pullman, WA
Nice hotel, but the gym was a bit to simple, and lacking a treadmill, but I still managed to get in a decent workout.

Stimulate your brain, keep your memory strong, exercises
I gotta start doing more brain puzzles, and or I wonder if old fashion video games help with brain power and focus?

I still workout...I think it's the only reason why I'm still alive. I drink, but I also workout. If I just drank, and didn't workout, I'm sure my health would be terrible.
