Just got in from work
Just got in, it's Saturday night, and I feel like nothing. I have the type of job that after 3 days straight working, you feel like absolutely nothing.

Waking up at 6 am seems disruptive to me. I don't think I could ever get a job, again, where had to wake up before 6 am.
Rest, proper sleep, is so important, especially the older you get.
Gone are the days of me waking up at odd hours of the morning to satisfy a job, I won't even take such a job anymore. They could give a squat about your health.

Some of these labor type jobs treat you like crap when are at work, then surprised when you don't want to come in on your day off.
No amount of money I make, while working on my day off, can make up for the mental and physical torment I face while at work. Being away from that environment is like pay to me.
I like my Boss, and that's about it, but everything else about that place, no.

That aside, I'm just beat, driving long periods at a time just isn't good for the health, at least not mine. You work hard, then have to come home to area where far to many ghetto people live, or I should say their young. It's so discouraging. You work hard, then come back to area where thugs hang out...it's unsettling and frustrating.
The thugs can's kill each other off fast enough, as far as I'm concerned. But the mothers just keep having more. (Sorry, that's just my grouchy mood speaking there, hearing fireworks in the background, gun fire, who knows, it just agitates me that some of us work so hard, then have to come back to an area where so many social low lifes dwell)

Sometimes you just like yearn to be fired or layed off ect, cause you just know it'll spern you to seek better opportunity for yourself.
And is so glad I don't have any auto/car payments, cause then I'd be a slave.

Sad how we all ust end up working our summers away, as adults. I mean we wait all year for summer to roll around, then when arrives, spend most of it in a factory, or driving a truck, or in some office, or working some hot steamy railyard.
I wonder who'll be the lucky one to win that near billion dollar lottery? Think I'll buy a few tickets tomorrow, why not.

Now days, actually for the last few decades, more and more women are getting into trucking Trucking can be a lot of things, as with any job or career....or trucking can be like a bad marriage also... www.thetruckersreport.com/truckingindustryforum/threads/trucking-can-be-like-a-bad-marriage.68681/That was actually 'me', in that 'trucking can be like a bad marriage', thread, on the Truckers report, years and years ago. But that aside, life is about growing and exploring. But ye, trucking can be like a bad marriage, just depends on where your heart and soul is at the time. But like with anything, you need to grow, and just like if your spouse doesn't grow with you, then you tend to drift apart. Not that trucking hasn't grown and changed, but often times those new changes has diminished the value of the trucker more and more into nothing more than mindless labor. But again, trucking covers a very broad area of jobs. 1. Over the road trucking, sleeper trucks, truck stops, ect 2. Local container type of trucking, in and out of the ports 3. Class B type of trucking, as in dump trucks, cement trucks, local stuff, where in and out of shop daily. 4. Oversized load type of trucking. 5. Flatbed, step deck, tankers. And I could go on, the main thing is to find your niche, and or some even go on to create their own trucking companies, where they're known as 'Owner operators'. Or you can 'lease to own' your own truck (Do not do that, lol) Bottom line, whichever type of trucking you decide on, your mind and heart has to be into it, like with anything else. Also, there's the whole admin side of logistics, like freight broker, freight handler, dispatcher, terminal manager, ect, even Warehouse careers. The demand for freight is only growing, so either path you chose you'll do OK at and or even prosper, just remember, always continue to educate yourself along the way, cause as you get older, the more career options you have, the more you'll thank yourself.

Heck no not coming in on my day off!
Heck, I'm still recovering from last weeks shift, when I was sick, and worked anyways, and now on my day off asked if I wanted to come in and cover another, hell no! I never miss a day of work when scheduled, cause I don't want to burden others, why can't others do the same?
Heck, I'm still a bit under the weather, and need every single hour, day, of my time off to recoup and recovery. I have a job that requires 100% attention when on duty, and it drains the brain, driving a truck is no joke man, one mistake and people die or get injured, and you lose your obs.
Not only that, but at my age, what is a 300 dollar bonus to give up more than 3/4's of my day, time and energy, and health??
Please.... At my age chump change means very little to me anymore, what matters is life changing money, as in $5000.00 or more, money lie that will move me, but chump change, at my age, are you kidding me??
I'm not some high school student looking to earn extra money for a date....come on.
For 300 dollars I'm gonna risk getting in a career ending accident or getting sick again by going out when not fully recovered, or and even just peace of mind, and what that leads to as far as creative opportunities that I can never do while at work. Sorry, to me, time off is like a paycheck.
Look, I'm poor, and 300 dollars isn't going to change that, I can work on my day off, and I'll still be poor, nothing will change, nothing!!

If companies really cared about you, they'd help you recieve schooling/training, to advance beyond your current position, especially if a labor position....but they don't do that, do they?
No, instead expect you to damage your body and future by remaining their labor slave until can no longer labor for them do to age or inury or illness, then it's 'idios amigos', so sad to bad, we don't need ya anymore, now scat!!
Hmm, not this sucker.

I'm about to check my checking account and see where I stand fiscally, which will help determine my next life move, and I do mean that.
Things I have to decide soon
1. Moving, rent keeps going up, so this is probably my last year at this place, less than a year now...moving costs money, and one thing I've learned is if going to move, must do so months in advance, cause if you wait till the last month or weeks, or day, unless you have a lot of friends, family and help, you're doomed, and it will be a crushing experience.
2. School, if I'm going to get trained to do something where I can earn money from home, now's the time, while I have the cash flow. Working from home, in logistics, and receiving a normal regular paycheck would really be a benefit to me going forward, probably the best benefit I could give myself actually.
Cause if I could earn from 45-60 gran a year from home, that means I could live anywhere and not be beholden to any one geographical location where rent is high...heck, I could work from a farmer's barn, if need be, as long as they had internet connection.
And those are my two main concerns right now concerning my future.
But I'm not rich, so have to choose wisely, and I think investing in schooling is best option, cause employment matters, income matters, but as I age will need a job that even if inured or sick, can still work from home or a office.

Just got home from work. 2 more days to go, but they're long days, so long that when finally off, really can't get into anything. When younger, and had friends, really didn't matter what time of the day it was when 'off', as long as you had cool friends that energized you, life was grand; sadly though, those days have been over for a long while.
I have about an hour and a half to doodle around before bed. It's Thursday, dull boring Thursday.
Thursdays are always a dud, work or no work.
