50 + orientated news, themes and topics Dam, sadly I remember watching this as a kid under the age of 10, like in some small NW town..wow. I haven't seen this scene in over 20 year, for sure, and of course when saw it first time it was already in syndication or a 'repeat' on some sci-fi channel. But just seeing those fish/men creatures kind of took me back to a childhood spot so many years ago when such things were indeed scary. Today's youth, of course, would laugh at such effects, but back then, they were scary, with radiotin fear everywhere. Anyways, this section here will be dedicated to issues, and themes that weigh more on those who are 50 and over..and or visit this site here where whole site dedicated to such a theme.. 50-plus-realities.boards.net/thread/33/social-media-older-people-seniors?page=1&scrollTo=113 Today's 50 and over crowd are really more like 'adult kids', to steal a quote I read some where else. Anyways let's do this, much more to follow as precious time allows

As I get older, my body tells me one of the most important things I can do for self is get plenty of rest and to not stress
Rest and not stressing are very important to maintain health, as one ages, which in turn keeps immune system down.
And laughing helps a lot to, if able to just laugh, and if no one in your life to make you laugh or laugh with, try watching some funny comedy stuff, laughter is medicine to your body, trust me on that.
But ye, stress and lack of rest will destroy your health quickly, is why no matter what, when home, I don't wake up, get up, move about, until I feel properly rested, what does that mean and why?
The body heals self when asleep and resting, and I guess it's a matter of knowing your own body, is how you'll just know when you've gotten enough rest and sleep for any 24 hour cycle.
Not only that, but starting 'now', I will take this 'no gluten' food or foods stuff way more seriously since hearing some guy say on radio that when you remove gluten from diet, your hair begins to grow again and so do your bones.
I'll do more research on this to see if really true or not, but brittle bones is for sure not what you want as you age, and who doesn't always want more hair at any age?
To be continued.

Just not wired to seek out companionship the way most dating sites want you to Example 'I'm a male, seeking a female', or 'I'm a female seeking a male'...what? That sounds so like a meat market. 'I'm a cattleman looking for a slab of Heffer beef'..huh? I guess I've just been out of the dating game to long. Cause there's plenty of women to whom I don't want to meet, and who I find repulsive, as far as getting intimate with. It's complicated as you age and are single, cause I guess when single you don't see yourself as being as old as your contemporary peers of the same age. When single, you always feel 19-25, that's just how you feel about yourself when single, especially if single and never had any kids yet. If a single male, and never had any kids with, the minute you date a woman who has, and doesn't want more, than it's like someone just closed the coffin lid on you, women don't understand that, that if can't give a man kids, or hope of, it's like they're dating the grim reaper or something. its' different if two older people already have grown kids on their own, but if single and never had kids, you're not really seeking to date a grandma who can't give you any, cause then all they do is sit around talking about their family, their kids, their great grandkids, which makes you feel even more lonely and isolated. ________________________________ And there's so many shang bang hook up sites or date sites out there now, and sites that boast of having 100's of 1000's of members, that's a turn off to me, I'm like 'Why so many?' Seems the better a site is at pairing people, the less members they'd have, but if site has a million members, that means you'll never meet anyone. I don't know. I think fate just has it in for me to remain single for rest of life. But here's a single site I saw for people over the age of 50, called 'silver singles', or something like that. dating.silversingles.com/

Over 50 thoughts
I'm over the age of 50, not by much though, and spent all day cleaning, and feel so worn, not really tired, just worn.
Pain wears you out, and it's not like I'm in chronic pain, I'm not, but just seems joint pain gets to you after a while. Like the where the leg and hips join.
The slight pain just wears you out quicker than if there was no pain.
And there shouldn't be, I'm going to do my research and figure out cause, reason and why, and then how to get rid of it, just like I cured self of other pain I was having by simply doing research.
NO DOCTER NEEDED.
I'm my own doctor and wish more people were, that way prices would fall for those who actually really do need to go to the hospital.
Medical prices, medicine, so high cause so many people addicted to going to the hospital or seeing their doctor over the slightest sneeze!
M/F, I haven't been to doctor in over 20 years! Other than for job physical, what if everyone else did like me, can you imagine how low hosptital costs would be.
But instead it's doctor this, doctor that, see your doctor, ask your doctor...why?!
In fairness, I've just been genetically lucky, I suppose.
I'm not talking about people with terminal type illnesses, of course not talking about them. I'm talking about those who practically camp out at the doctors office cause brainwashed to do so by the system.
When it's time for me to die, I'm going to die, and there's nothing a doctor can do about it...why should I give them all my money before I go?
And look at Clarence Thomas, the Supreme court justice...spent 7 days in hospital due to flew like symptoms?
Are you kidding me? I mean I'm sure he gets free medical, but still, 7 days? I'd go crazy 7 days up in a hospital.
Sure they're older though, so maybe that's why, I don't know.
The average person though, just can't afford a 7 day stay at a hospital just over flu like symptoms.
And in the end they gave him anti-biotics...duh
That's all any of us really need most of the time, but the system makes us go through a doctor to get it...why? why?
Why is seeking or creating your own medicine outside of a lab outlawed? Or is it?
I mean can people make their own penicillin I wonder?

Probably in the best shape of my life, well maybe not physically, but I feel 'great', I have energy, nothing hurts, yet I"m not all that happy right now. I don't feel like I have any purpose, my life feels like a dud. I feel like if I died tomorrow, it would be as if I never lived. I mean who doesn't want to leave behind a legacy of some sort?
Even criminals like Bonnie and Clyde, leave behind legacies....they've been deceased for near 100 years, and Hollywood still making movies about them.

I just know this, as long as alive, you have to have purpose. In nature, as in like the insect world, amphibian world, fish, ect, I know in nature, once there's no purpose, things just die. Usually once the male mates, it just dies, at least in lower lifeforms. I need to find purpose again, if I'm to thrive spiritually. Just got done grocery shopping, wow, shopping can really take a lot out of you physically
I consider myself in decent shape, for my age, but wow, the task of shopping can really take a lot out of you, I mean the whole ordeal.
1. Getting dressed = 15 minutes or more
2. Face grooming, hair, another 10-15 minutes
3. Going out to vehicle in the hot sun.
4. Driving to store in the heat, traffic lights, ect (luckly I live about 2 miles from store)
5. Parking, then getting out to walk into the store, in the heat
6. Then the shopping begins, can last from 15-30 minutes.
7. Then the line, the check out line, more standing and waiting.
8. Then the walk back out to vehicle, pushing cart
9. Then placing items from cart into vehicle
10. Driving back home
11. Taking groceries from vehicle to house or apt, and if live on 2nd or 3rd floors or higher, Just imagine how grueling that can be, especially if have to make multiple trips in the heat.
12. Then gotta put all the groceries up, in fridge, cabinets, ect
13. Then gotta toss or recycle the plastic bags
Sorry, but that's like a whole sporting event, Just going shopping and all.
Especially if have to carry bottled water up a flight of stairs, what a workout...no matter what age you are.
Old age gets scarier and scarier to me with each passing day.

Brain Dead
OK, this one came out like probably in the 90's, maybe late 80's? You can usually get a hint by the cars and or other props in the scenes.
That aside, I've never seen this movie until now, on Amazon. It's one of those sci-fi thrillers that totally borderlines being a 'B' movie. But for some reason, this movie here captivates me, or at least enough to still be watching it.
When I see movies decades after production, I often wonder what my reaction to same movie, decades earlier when younger?
Would I have even bothered watching this back then? I don't know. Whether or not a movie interests you has a lot to do with timing, maturity and or lack of.
Anyways, it's an OK older sci-fi flick if into the whole mad scientist type of thing.

50+ To me, you can look good at any age, as long as you take care of yourself. And men tend to do a worse job at that than women. I do just about everything right, my only weakness is beer.

I realize, as you get older, you just cannot let stress, or other peoples actions, get a grip on you. Cause the stress will destroy you, while they go on living.

I need a wholesale, out and right over-hall change to my life, if not, I'm already 'dead', but happen to still be alive.
In other words, I need some spunk in my life again, a 'love', a 'passion'...something that gets me excited to wake up and work on...and no, currently that would not be my job... But that aside, I need to, must, find a new passion, cause it's only then that I'll start feeling hopeful again. Either that or a 'spouse', either a wed or unwed spouse, and or better yet, a whole complete family of my own, but now I'm really dreaming.
