Among the living
I don't know, this one is more like the Walton's meet some zombies.
I found myself fast forwarding about 25% of the movie, yet I stayed with it till the end, which is soft. Not your typically paced zombie movie, that's for sure, but there's enough interest in the characters that keep you watching.
Again, It's more like the Walton family meets zombies, or even Rod Zombie. ust a different paced British or Irish film, and I suppose their accents kept me tuned in as well.

It's about time for bed, didn't spend a lot of time on here today, and gotta work tomorrow, next two days, yuk and gross. Time just keeps pushing us all along.
That being said, will probably watch a bit of this movie as I fade out. I don't know if it's any good or not, haven't started watching yet on Amazon, we shall see.

3 hours till Dead
This is one odd independent feeling zombie movie.
Starts off kind of dorky, kind of feeling like some bad Benny Hill dark horror, but then it does get a bit gruesome, which I guess make up for the bad acting, timing, emotional timing.
But there are times where to me, the women characters act to stereotypical old movie style, where at least one, ust has an emotional breakdown and pouts the whole time.
I think women would be stronger than that in real life.
That aside, if you can tolerate the bad acting at times, this movie delivers...and one of the first to combine both the slow moving and fast running zombies in the same movie.

This is a very under rated horror movie. I think the people who created 'Drag me to Hell' and 'The evil dead', also had their hands in this one.
It's a scary, yet funny movie, or what they call 'black horror'? or is it 'black comedy'?
Whatever the term, 'Exeter', is like a modern day 80's or 90's flick.
Like taking a movie from decades ago and modernizing it.
This movie gives nod to all sorts of other horror classics before it, in certain scenes.

Toy Box
This may be a good one, just started watching it, won't finish it tonight, but so far, just 5 minutes in, it's promising.
(Added notes)
I did end up watching this movie, and it's pretty decent, as far as newer scary movies go.

Alive
This one, hmm. The premise is very original, but the movie is a bit to long for me. When movies are to long, they risk people not sticking around long enough to view the ending or endings.
This one is a horror/thriller of sorts, and takes place in a large, abandoned hospital. Two people wake up in that abandoned hospital, and are being treated by a very odd Dr.
I can't say anymore, but again, the premise of this movie is very original. Watch it to the end, even if have to watch over several days.

Renfield- 2023?
I could of sworn this movie, which I must be getting mixed up with another, came out long time ago, as in a decade or more ago, but actually this movie here, a black comedy about Dracula, 'Renfield', I guess was released in 2023??
Wow, either way it's good, and I'm watching it now, about 75% into it, and loving it so far. It's the near perfect combination of gore, adventure, wit, humor, fantasy and more.
It's a fast paced movie that keeps your or at least my, attention for sure. And it has instantly become one of my favorites of all time, instantly...wow.

What I don't like about this movie is betrayal, I can't stand people who betray others, even if they're monsters. The first part of movie was fine, but then it turns into a fake lesson of morality. It annoys me when evil people think they're more moral than other evil people. Dracula, in the movie, is probably simply the most honest character involved.

See no Evil-2006?
This one is good, and feels as if could of been released yesterday, but actually it was released in 2006, if I'm correct. Good slasher movie, before the era of woke horror movies.

A quiet place part 2
I've seen this before, but forgot how 'jump scare' this movie could be, not with music, but with the 'beasts', it just catches you off guard, but that's the sign of a good scary movie, is when the scares come when you least expect them to.

Paranormal Activity, the ghost dimension
1. The women in this movie definitely weren't cast for their acting abilities, but rather for their looks, and I guess you could say the same for the male actors. 2. In this movie, it seems the humans are the props, and the ghost or demon, or demons, are the ones that carry the movie, with all of the repetitive 'jump scenes'. 3. In my opinion, way too much emphasis on the little girl, those scenes to became quite repetitive and pointless.
Still not done watching, but the pattern has been established. a. Average to less below average actors b. Use 'jump scare scenes' to keep the suspense going, and to annoyingly wake you up if you happen to be trying to doze off or fall asleep during the move.
What could have made it better? If the characters didn't act so stiff and plastic, and had had more real-life human reactions, rather than movie scripted ones. Most people, if experience what they did in this movie, scene after scene, wouldn't just blow it off, and an hour later act as if all is fine. It's as if they kept forgetting they were living in a haunted house.

End Times
This movies not bad, I'm about half way through. But it did have some signs or starting off as yet another 'B' zombie/end times type of flick.
You know, the unrealistically good looking female co-star, who you know, only got the role do to their looks...and we're suppose to gawk over how adorable and cute they are in the back drop of such horror...(a sublte form of porn, that's all, that men get off on)
But, repeat but, after just about to click it off, I begin to have a change of heart in that the other actors kind of balanced it out, or their roles I should say, even though she's cute, they treated her as if ugly. Hard to explain, but it was believable, I'll put it like that.
I mean being Miss America in that type of world really wouldn't matter much, assuming any female who looked that story book cute, would even survive that long or better yet be wondering around solo. But yeah, her character made me chill out after watching them perform.
I was initially very irritated by the distraction of their doll like cute looks as if saying 'Look everyone, look how cute I am compared to you all'...'Look at me'...(I blame the casting director for that though, I suppose) But after getting over that snub, the fact that their character was more inline with a real character in that situation, began to win me over a bit. In other words their performance is much more believable than their looks, at least in that environment.
